According to Yul, bible characters such as Moses, Jacob, and Isaac trace their ancestry to Israel, hence knowing everything about them is a form of brainwashing.
Yul Edochie argued that the same commitment should be made towards learning and knowing everything about our ancestors as Africans.
In a social media post, Yul Edochie noted that it is a shame not to know about our ancestry. According to him, if you have no knowledge about your ancestors, you won’t know where you are heading.
Yul Edochie wrote; “We have all been brainwashed to know everything about Moses, Jacob, Isaac and the people of Israel yet we know nothing about our ancestors, we know nothing about the exploits of our grandfathers, grandmothers & all the great people in our lineage.
“Big shame on all of us. If you don’t know who you’re and where you’re coming from you’ll never know where you’re heading to.

Previously, Yul Edochie cautioned Nigerians to take the name of Jesus seriously claiming there is power in it. But his recent comment has thrown his followers into a debate over where he stands.
