Its president, Nana Kwaku Bonsam, has declared plans for a countrywide demonstration against galamsey’s environmental devastation.
During an interview with Kasapa FM, Kwaku Bonsam said that the association is organizing traditional priests throughout the nation to voice their opposition to the widespread destruction of forests and water bodies by galamsey operators.
Kwaku Bonsam claims that those who orchestrated the protest will suffer grave spiritual repercussions. He issued a warning that individuals engaged in illicit mining operations would start facing mysterious deaths and curses within two weeks after the demonstration.
In addition, he threatened spiritual disaster unless the government and other authorities intervened immediately to stop the damaging mining operations.
The Fetish Priests Association of Ghana led by their President, Kwaku Bonsam, has threatened a nationwide protest involving over 2000 members against the destruction of water bodies and forests by galamsey operators.
