The goal of the CLAP ACP2 and Creation Africa Co-production Grant is to promote creativity and teamwork in the Ghanaian film industry.
The National Film Authority is the project’s champion, and collaborators include the French Embassy, Creation Africa, and the Organization Internationale de la Francophonie (OIF).
On Tuesday, June 25, at the Accra Tourist Information Center, the National Film Authority announced the winners of the Creation Africa and CLAP ACP2 Co-production Grant office.
The recipients included Adjoa Films ($5,000) for their film “Regulated Minds,” which examines men’s vulnerability and mental health; Driving Park Limited ($80,000) for their project “A Dream to Die For,” which addresses illegal mining; and Midnight Run Productions ($5,000) for their horror film “Tantra,” which is about nightlife in Accra.
The NFA CEO Juliet Asantewaa gave the reason for selecting the three firms as; “we put out a call after we thought that we had enough to start and a lot of productions came through. But we were looking at specific things and key among them was co productions.”
