In the official trailer for Mel Gibson’s most recent film, Flight Risk, which was released on Thursday, Mark Wahlberg transforms into a deranged hitman after serving as a wilderness pilot.
In a scene reminiscent of Con Air, Wahlberg, as Daryl, is flying a plane carrying Michelle Dockery’s character, air marshal Madolyn, and Topher Grace, a wanted man who is going to testify against the Moretti criminal family in New York City.
However, as they fly over Alaska and the trailer’s soundtrack plays a cover of Talking Heads’ “Psycho Killer,” Daryl is exposed as a balding mob assassin who is out to kill the informant. “Winston, you have greatly disappointed Mr. Moretti. And in the teaser for Gibson’s gripping thriller, the pilot claims, “And he wants you dead.”
Madolyn takes down and handcuffs the pilot following a skirmish at 10,000 feet, but she now needs assistance to keep everyone in the air. She begs, “Tell me how to fly this thing, or we will die out here.”
