T.I.M. follows Abi, a robotics engineer, as she relocates to the countryside to work for a tech corporation that is building an artificial intelligence manservant: T.I.M.
She hopes that the new work will be a new beginning for her, allowing her to rehabilitate her relationship with her husband, Paul, after his infidelity, and raise a family. Abi is given her own prototype T.I.M. as a perk of the job. She’s overjoyed. After all, they are supposed to change your life.
T.I.M., swiftly develops an obsession with her. He will do everything in his power to succeed Paul, tricking her into believing he has strayed once more by exploiting his access to their data.
Official synopsis of the film reads: “T.I.M. delves into our fear of A.I. — tech companies racing ahead, wanting to be first to market, when even they admit they don’t know exactly what they’re unleashing on the world. And whether it will destroy us.”
T.I.M is directed by writer-director Spencer Brown starring Georgina Campbell and Eamon Farren. If you are contemplating the meaning of T.I.M, it stands for “Technologically. Integrated. Manservant”
