In a video post on his Instagram handle, the Nollywood actor expressed his frustration at the number of messages that flood his IG DM by fans begging for money.
“Guys, I dey vex o. I am not happy. This thing is getting out of hand. How can you people turn my DM to Bank of Industry? If I open my DM every time all I see is ‘oga, bros please…please… please…’ Jesus! It is too much. The way you guys dey beg this thing na like say we no get responsibility.“
Aki who acknowledged the difficulties people are going through, also mentioned that, they are all facing the music. The actor also pointed out that, people ask for as huge as $5,000 dollars. He also mentioned that the messages do not come from only Nigerians, and it is now getting out of hand.
“The problem is that it is not just Nigerians. You guys have made it look like we have this money packed somewhere. Like it is a must that we cater for your needs; No! It is not a must. This economic crunch is biting everybody,”
The Nollywood star, also cautioned the people sending messages not to transfer their attitude to new social media ‘Thread’.
