Tupac to be honored with with a posthumous Hollywood Walk of Fame Star in Los Angeles, the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce announced.

Tupac Amaru Shakur, also known by his stage name 2Pac and briefly Makaveli, was an American rapper. He is widely considered one of the most influential and successful rappers of all time. Shakur is among the best-selling music artists, having sold more than 75 million records worldwide.

The Star which is the 2758th of the Chamber will be added to the recording category. According to the organizers, Big Boy will emcee the event and Tupac’s sister Sekyiwa “Set” Shakur will accept the award.

Also in attendance are  Allen Hughes and Jamal Joseph, director and executive producer for “Dear Mama: The Saga of Afeni and Tupac Shakur,” an FX docu-series released in April focusing on Tupac’s relationship with his mother, Afeni Shakur.

The ceremony which will take place at Hollywood Boulevard in Los Angeles will start at 10:30 a.m. local time on June 7.
