This is the first and last warning: – Ruth Kadiri to Ghanaian TV stations showing her movies without license.

Nigerian filmmaker Ruth Kadiri has asked Ghanaian TV stations to stop showing her contents on their platforms or else face her lawyers.

In a video shared online, the Nigerian filmmaker was emphatic on her message to the TV stations airing her content without authorization. She has sent a strong word of caution to the TV stations involved to put a stop to it or risk legal action.

Ruth Kadiri is a renowned Nigerian actress and now a filmmaker who releases movies every week on her YouTube channel. Her YouTube channel which is titled ‘RuthKadiri247’ has more than one million subscribers.

Her contents get a lot of views on YouTube. The Movie ‘Better Half’ which was released a month ago, has over 14 million views. Also, ‘Within Me’ gathered over 5 million views within a month.

It is therefore no doubt that her contents are liked by a good number of viewers and followers. Considering the cost involve in making a single movie, Ruth Kadiri is right to be furious at anyone who uses her contents without authorization.

Ruth made it know in her video how much she loves the country Ghana. However, she is “very disappointed” by the actions of some “major TV stations in Ghana”.

Ruth had this to say in the video she shared on social media.

“I love my Ghanaian family so much… I love the country as a whole but I am very disappointed that a major TV station in Ghana would go on my platform, rip my contents apart, show it on TV like they have the license to do that.

“…This is the first warning and it is going to be the last one, because the next time, you’re going to hear from my lawyers.

I beg you, let’s not start dragging ourselves through the mud. I expect so much from you because you know how expensive it is to create contents and instead of you to buy this content,  you would rather rip it and show it on national TV“.
