Stonebwoy sues Baba Sadiq over alleged defamation.

Dancehall sensation Livingstone Etse Satekla, better known by his stage as Stonebwoy, has filed a defamation lawsuit against politician and entertainment critic Baba Sadiq.

The 2024 TGMA Artist of the Year asks the court to require Baba Sadiq to remove the offensive tweets and offer him an unconditional apology in a writ filed in the High Court of Justice on May 31, 2024.

Additionally, Stonebwoy is requesting GHS 3 million in damages for the damage to his reputation, claiming that Baba Sadiq deliberately and maliciously published false comments in an attempt to discredit him.

Those acquainted with the circumstances are not surprised by the lawsuit. Social media watchers were alarmed by Stonebwoy’s initial disregard for Sadiq’s remarks.

The writ demonstrates Stonebwoy’s dedication to defending his hard-earned reputation, as evidenced by his use of the legal system to uphold his rights.
