The rumours are drawn from the actors appearance in the MCU movie Eternals as Dan Whiteman. There is a post-credit scene teasing Dan Whiteman’s transformation into Black Knight as the voice of Ali’s Blade questions whether he is ready.
Despite the obvious connection to the Blade Movie, Kit Harington has shut down rumours of his appearance in the Blade movie. He disclosed this when he made an appearance at Superhero Comic-Con.
“The honest answer is I think that’s the intention with the character, I think there was some misunderstanding about whether he was going to be in the Blade movie. He was never meant to be in the Blade movie and isn’t.”
The actor who had his MCU debut in the 2021’s Eternals, used the opportunity to address concerns surrounding his future at the MCU. He mentioned that, he hopes his character is explored more.
“I think there’s some really fascinating parts of that character which would be beneficial to delve into and interesting, which is the aspects around his mental health things and specifically about addiction with that character, which I think is really interesting.”
“So I hope they use him. I hope that the Black Knight comes along. I hope that Dane Whitman is that character but, at this stage, I can’t tell you anything. But I think the intention is to develop him at some point.”
Kit Harington arguably rose to fame with his Jon Snow character in the Game of Thrones TV series. His kind hearted character which he played to perfection opened doors for people to admire him.
Mahershala Ali will play the lead character in Blade as the vampire hunter. Blade was also affected by the Writers Guild of America strike, hence fans will have to wait for sometime before seeing the movie.
