It all started when Sarkodie released his latest track ‘Brag’; a rap song highlighting his journey in the music industry. Sarkodie’s ‘Brag’ seems to have triggered a ‘beef’ battle between Ghana and Nigeria.
Sarkodie in ‘Brag’ mentioned some Nigerian and Ghanaian artistes who came into the music scene after he has already taken off. This didn’t sit well with Dremo, a Nigerian rapper who is affiliated to Davido.
‘Brag’ attracted a diss song from Dremo, but King Sark did not give him the attention he was seeking for. Ghanaian rappers such as Lyrical Joe also released diss songs directed at Dremo.
In a reply to Dremo’s diss track, Sarkodie wrote on social media; “He’s got potential. Adding that with a few touches, he will be good to go”.
Dremo appears to be desperately seeking for Sarkodie’s attention. He has released another diss song titled ‘Burn’ directed at Sarkodie. In ‘Burn’ Dremo directly called out Sarkodie to reply to his song.
In an attempt to provoke Sarkodie to reply his diss track, Dremo touched on a couple of issues including Sarkodie’s reply to Yvonne Nelson in relation to the release of the book “I Am Not Yvonne Nelson”.
