Jennifer Garner to bring her Elektra character back to life in ‘Deadpool 3’.

After 20 years of ‘Daredevil’, a Marvel movie in 2003, the character Elektra will be brought back to life in ‘Deadpool 3’.

Jennifer Garner played the Elektra character in ‘Daredevil’ along side ex-husband, Ben Afleck. She later, in two years had a standalone film for her character ‘Elektra’.

As reported by The Hollywood Reporter, the actress will reprise Elektra in Deadpool 3, with Ryan Reynolds the title character and Hugh Jackman who has come out of retirement to play Wolverine.

Since the 2003’s Daredevil and the 2005’s Elektra, the Marvel Universe has produced a plethora of comic-book storyline films that have made a lot success at the box office. Touching on her 2005 Elektra character, Jennifer Garner told The Hollywood Reporter in a 2021 interview how she was disappointed with performance of the film.

She is disappointed because Marvel movies took a different face under the leadership of Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige, and she was not a part of it.

“It’s such a shame, honestly, because once Kevin took over, everything there was elevated: the writing, the direction, the comedy inside of the stories they were telling. And I did not have that experience.”

Deadpool 3 is directed by Shawn Levy, who worked with Garner and Reynolds on the Netflix movie The Adam Project and produced by Marvel’s Kevin Feige, Levy and Reynolds.

Deadpool 3 is currently expected to hit theaters May 3, 2024.
