James Gardiner is a versatile actor, and “The Weekend” at the Tribeca Festival is an opportunity for his talent to be seen on the global stage.
With this caption on Instagram; “Can’t keep calm! We’re off to @tribeca guys!,” Gardiner shared the news with fans.
Daniel Oriahi, a gifted filmmaker, is the director of “The Weekend,” a story about Nikya, who was abandoned at an early age and has now, via her fiancé, Luke, found the family she has always desired. She needs to meet his parents and other family members in order for her life to be complete.
Luke, though, is reserved because he hasn’t returned home for more than ten years. Nikya, yearning for a relationship, forces him to make peace with his past, and before long, they are visiting Luke’s boyhood home. Nikya discovers there that carrying family baggage may be more difficult to handle than she had anticipated.
Prominent African actors such as Damilola Ogunsi, Gloria Anozie-Young, Meg Otanwa, Bucci Franklin, Aniunoh, and Keppy Ekpeyong Bassey are included in the cast.
One of the most renowned film festivals in the world is the Tribeca Festival, which takes place every year in New York City. In 2002, billionaire Craig Hatkoff, actor Robert De Niro, and producer Jane Rosenthal launched it with the intention of honoring narrative in various media, including video games, movies, and music.
