In an Instagram post Dwayne Johnson popularly referred to as ‘The Rock’ announced his return to fans favorite, the ‘Fast and Furious’ franchise.
The former professional wrestler had a feud with co-star Vin Diesel which led to his absence in the latest ‘fast and furious’ releases. Dwayne Johnson stated that the feud between them ended a year ago.
“Last summer, @vindiesel and I put all the past behind us,” Johnson wrote on the Instagram post. “We’ll lead with brotherhood and resolve – and always take care of the franchise, characters & FANS that we love.”
In a video posted on Instagram, Johnson told his fans that the rumors are true, he is back to the ‘fast and furious’ franchise. He also added that, it was satisfying to see the reactions of fans around the world when the news broke.
“I am 100% confirming to you guys around the world, that yes, it is true, Hobbs is back, Hobbs is back in the ‘Fast & Furious’ franchise,… It has been so incredibly, personally gratifying, and humbling and exciting to see your reactions around the world”
Johnson also mentioned that, he built his career around “audience first” and it is going to stay that way. Adding that they decided to put their differences behind for the interest of the franchise and the fans.
“I have built my career on “Audience First” mentality and that will always serve as my North star… Last summer, @vindiesel and I put all the past behind us,” Johnson wrote on the Instagram post. “We’ll lead with brotherhood and resolve – and always take care of the franchise, characters & FANS that we love.”
