Kwaku Manu spoke at a stakeholders event organized by John Mahama to engage with stakeholders in the creative arts sector. The event which was held at the AH hotel, brought together filmmakers, actors, producers and other stakeholders.
In making his comments, Kwaku Manu commended John Mahama for allowing citizens to get closer to him, which is usually not the style of our leaders. He asked the NDC flagbearer to pay attention to the members of the creative sector who have thrown their support behind him.
As it is always the case in this country, filmmakers or actors who show their political colors are usually sidelined by some producers and other stakeholders.
On giving support to the members of the creative sector, Kwaku Manu pleaded with John Mahama to consider building houses for them instead of giving them monthly allowances.
At the event, John Mahama promised to do everything possible to deal with the numerous challenges facing the creative arts sector. He assured them of establishing a TV channel dedicated to promoting their contents.
