G-Wagon debt wahala: Portable in police custody.

Habeeb Okikiola famously know as Portable has been arrested by Nigerian police over G-Wagon debt.

It has been widely reported that, the arrest was made after a car dealer reported Portable to the Police. According to reports, Portable made part payments for the G-Wagon, and he is not ready to pay the balance.

The G-Wagon in question is said to cost ₦27 million out of which Portable paid ₦13 million and he is yet to pay the balance of ₦14 million. According to the dealer, Portable’s excuse for non payment has been that the car is faulty.

As it is widely reported, the musician was arrested on May 14, 2024, by the  Lagos State Police Command.

Benjamin Hundeyin, the Lagos State Police Public Relations Officer, has confirmed that, the musician was arrested for defaulting in paying the balance to the car dealer.

When asked, Hundeyin said; “Yes, Portable has been arrested. He bought G-Wagon for ₦27m, paid ₦13m, and refused to pay the rest, claiming the vehicle was bad. We arrested him today.”
