Lead actor in the Extraction franchise, Chris Hemsworth has confirmed that, Netflix are considering the possibility of ‘Extraction 3’.

Chris Hemsworth alongside director Sam Hargrave at TUDUM: A Global Fan Event, made the announcement to the audience. Though Extraction 2 was just premiered on June 16, they acknowledged that Netflix are currently considering plans for the next installment of the Extraction franchise.

Extraction 1′ centered on Tyler Rake (Chris Hemsworth) a black ops mercenary who goes on a mission to save an Indian crime lord’s son. Things didn’t turn out as he had planned, nearly causing his death. The just released ‘Extraction 2’ picked up from where ‘Extraction 1’ ended. Tyler Rake recovers from his near death assignment in ‘Extraction 1’ and decides to take on another risky mission. Here the mission is to save the family of a famous gangster from Georgia.

EXTRACTION

Hargrave, the stuntman who transitioned to become a director obviously had learnt a lot from his first debut directorial job, ‘Extraction 1‘. He transferred the experience to the making of ‘Extraction 2‘. Fans can’t stop talking about the 21 minutes long action sequence which is reported to have been filmed in a single take.

Chis Hemsworth is know among marvel fans for his Role as Thor, the God with the indestructible hammer. The Australian actor is not a stranger when it comes to action movies. Extraction 2 debatably has demand a lot from Chris with respect to the action sequences and the preparations he had to put himself through.

‘Extraction 2’ was produced by Hemsworth, Hargrave, Patrick Newall, Mike Larocca, Angela Russo-Otstot, Eric Gitter, Peter Schwerin and Joe and Anthony Russo, aka the Russo Brothers. Executive producers included Benjamin Grayson, Steven Scavelli, Christopher Markus, Stephen McFeely and Jake Aust.
