Bawumia in trouble as management of DJ Azonto demands $10 million for unauthorized use of his song during a campaign.

The management of DJ Azonto have demanded a $10 million compensation from NPP flagbearer Bawumia for using his song without authorization.

The management in a press release detailed their demands and the way forward. The song in question is titled “Fa No Fom” a hit track from DJ Azonto.

The use of the song by the Vice President during a campaign rally in Nalerigu is “unacceptable and a clear infringement of intellectual property rights” according to the management.

“As the rightful managers of DJ Azonto’s work, we were neither approached for permission nor did we authorize the use of “Fa No Fom” in any capacity related the Vice President’s campaign. This action disregards the creative rights body and also, efforts of DJ Azonto and the Rolls Royce Family management,” the management said.

The management further added in the press release that, they are ready to collaborate with any body or institution that is interested in their services. They noted that, a simple phone call can get the job done.
