Accra Indie Filmfest (AiF) is thrilled to announce a special highlight of its upcoming 6th edition the “AiF Short Film Project Pitching” event, supported by Creation Africa Ghana, the French Embassy, and the Alliance Francaise.

This exciting initiative offers emerging filmmakers a unique opportunity to present their projects to a panel of both local and international industry experts, with the winning project earning a coveted spot to pitch at Talent Connexion during the 46th edition of the prestigious Clermont-Ferrand International Short Film Festival in France in 2025.

This platform is renowned for connecting promising filmmakers with industry leaders, offering invaluable exposure and potential collaborations. The selected winner will also receive a tailored support from AiF and Creation Africa Ghana team to prepare them well enough for the pitching in France.

The 6th edition of Accra Indie Filmfest (AiF) is scheduled for 29th July to 3rd August 2024 under the theme of “Africa to the World, the World to Africa” and it promises to be a landmark event in Ghana’s film industry.

Since its inception in 2019, AiF has been dedicated to nurturing and promoting emerging filmmaking talent through its comprehensive programs, including film screenings, masterclasses, industry networking sessions, and collaborative projects. The introduction of the short film project pitching event marks a significant expansion of the festival’s support for filmmakers.

Creation Africa Ghana, an initiative by the French Embassy, has partnered with AiF to make this project possible. Their collaboration underscores a shared commitment to fostering creative expression and providing platforms for African filmmakers to gain international exposure.

Evan, the festival’s director said; “We are immensely excited about this new addition to our festival lineup. This initiative aligns with our mission to empower and elevate emerging filmmakers, providing them with the resources and opportunities they need to succeed. Partnering with Creation Africa Ghana enhances our ability to offer a truly impactful experience for our participants.”
