Though the various religions prohibits cheating, the practice has survived from generation to generation. Speaking on the topic, Ghanaian marriage counsellor, Charlotte Oduro has advised women not to pay evil with evil.
According to the marriage counsellor, cheating is an evil act that should not be given attention. However, she added, if men engage in the act of cheating, it should not be a yardstick for women to do same.
Charlotte added that, there are serious consequences for women who engage in cheating while bonded by the principles of marriage. She advised women to rather seek help, and eventually bow out of the marriage if the problem persist.
Charlotte made these comments during an interview on Oyerapa FM. She added that, women cheat mainly for retaliation purposes.
“I want women to understand that resorting to cheating will not bring an end to their issues. Don’t allow your husband’s cheating to lead you to ruin your future. If you find it unbearable to cope with your husband’s infidelity, seek for help. Don’t pay evil with evil, because there are consequences,” she said.
