The veteran actor has finally spoken after news broke about him slumping in his bathroom sometime ago. Zack Orji in an interview confirmed the rumor and gave details about what happened.
According to him, he passed out for about five and half hours before he got help. Zack Orji acknowledged Benedict Johnson and Labista for coming to his aid. In his own words; Benedict Johnson and Labista “lifted me on their shoulders from the second floor to the ground floor and took me to the National Hospital”.
Zack also mentioned that he suffered some kind of amnesia that made it difficult for him to recognize the people who visited him at the hospital. This led to his first surgery on January 1, and a second surgery later after a diagnose revealed a blood clot in his brain.
“Before the surgery, I couldn’t recognize people. Some of the people who came to the hospital to see me, I didn’t even know that they came and we were talking but I couldn’t remember them. It was my wife who told me those who came.
“But immediately after the surgery, the first question I asked was, ‘What day are we today?’ My wife said New Year Day and I started wishing everybody a happy new year. She said that was when she knew that I was back,” Zack Orji recounted.
Amnesia is a general term that describes memory loss. The loss can be temporary or permanent, but ‘amnesia’ usually refers to the temporary variety. Causes include head and brain injuries, certain drugs, alcohol, traumatic events, or conditions such as Alzheimer’s disease.
