Telecel has been named as the headline sponsor of the 25th Ghana Music Awards (TGMA) after its successful transition from Vodafone. The awards show has been renamed from VGMA to TGMA.
The change from the VGMA to the TGMA represents a larger transformation in the Ghanaian music scene, indicating a turn toward diversity, creativity, and advancement.
The goal of the TGMA is to adapt and change with the music industry, promoting the quality and diversity of Ghanaian music.
The nominees for this year’s TGMA will cut across several music genres; from highlife to hip-hop, gospel to afrobeat etc. The awards ceremony will showcase the varied talents and contributions of Ghanaian artists across genres.
Together, they represent the rich tapestry of Ghanaian music and culture.
The biggest music awards show in Ghana – TGMA is scheduled to take place on June 1, 2024.
