According to Inner City Press, Mona Faiz Montrage was sentenced to 12 months and 1 day jail time despite earlier plea by her lawyers for a 3 month prison time. The Ghanaian influencer received a six-count indictment against her, accusing her of participating in multiple romance scams and of laundering the money earned from them.
